One thing that happens as a Theta healing Instructor is I get asked alomost daily about Theta Entrainment - The process of using Binaural Beats. [Binaural beats are transmitted by using the Stereo (2 channels of audio) One signal is transmitted in the left channel, and a different one is in the right. What happens is that if you play a 10 Hz signal on a stereo you cannot hear it. But if the left is 200Hz and the right is 210Hz you can hear that. The difference causes your brain to adjust to that frequency - or resonate with it. .1 to 3 Hz is Delta Brain Entrainment, 3-8 Hz is Theta, 8-13 is Alpha, 13-30 is Beta, and 30000 is Gamma. Beta is normal (awake). In Alpha you relax and become receptive, in Theta you become superconscious, in Delta You are superconscious (and your body is essentially asleep).
